Neurology Residency Program - Interview Information
Thank you for your interest in the University of Arizona Neurology Residency Program. We look forward to getting to know you better and encourage you to take some time to get to see Tucson while you are here.
As you prepare to make you travel arrangements, the following interview schedule should be taken into consideration. A more specific schedule will be provide before your arrival.
Evening Before Interview - A dinner with the residents is planned for the evening prior to your interview. It is a great time to get to know the residents better, so we hope that you will join us for dinner. All residents are asked to participate so feel free to ask them any questions about the program or any aspect of Tucson you may have.
Interview Day - We will start the day onsite at 7:30 am and should end by 1pm. If you have to depart right after the interview, a 2pm flight out of Tucson or 4:30pm flight out of Phoenix (depending on traffic) is a advised.
Airports
The closest airport to the University of Arizona is the Tucson International Airport (TIA). Many major airlines fly into TIA. For more information about travel to and from Tucson International please visit their website.
Some travelers opt to fly into one of the two airports in the Phoenix metro area to travel to the University of Arizona. The two airports options in Phoenix are: Phoenix Sky Harbor (http://skyharbor.com/) and Phoenix-Mesa Gateway (http://www.phxmesagateway.org/). Please keep in mind that the travel time by rental vehicle, between these airports and the University of Arizona will be at least two hours. If traveling through Phoenix we recommend plenty of extra time in addition to that two hour travel window in case of any delays.
Travel from the Airport
Shuttle service and ground transportation options to the University of Arizona from Tucson International Airport and Phoenix Sky Harbor are available. The major ridesharing programs are available as well.

Lodging
Evening activities will be at local landmark, St Philip’s Plaza, which is near the University of Arizona as well. We have negotiated a special rate of $129 at the Homewood Suites by Hilton at St Philip’s Plaza as well. While it is entirely up to you where you stay, we hope that this is a convenient option for you.

Resident Dinner
Dinner with the residents will be at LaReforma Restaurant in St Philip’s Plaza, just walking distance from the hotel. Dinner starts at 6pm.
Interview Day
We have made arrangements for round trip transportation from the hotel to campus on the date of interview. Due to several construction projects going in around the hospital, parking is very difficult at the moment and is not being made available for any applicants.
