Banner University Medical Center - Tucson (BUMC-T)
 
Banner University Medical Group is a private, non-profit institution operating under a lease with the Arizona Board of Regents to support the educational and research services to the Colleges of Medicine, Nursing and Pharmacy. 

Banner-UMC opened a new addition to the hospital in April 2019 (more info on hospital).  This new hospital has 228 private patient rooms which expands the over hospital beds to 679.  This campus is located at the University of Arizona Health Sciences at the University of Arizona in Tucson and is part of the University of Arizona Health Network. Banner University Medical Center - Tucson (formerly University Medical Center) opened in 1971 and is the primary teaching hospital of the University of Arizona Colleges of Medicine, Nursing and Pharmacy. BUMC-T is one of the nation’s top hospitals in U.S. News & World Report’s prestigious best hospitals rankings and has been nationally recognized for providing exceptional patient care, teaching new health care professionals and conducting groundbreaking research through the physician-scientists of the University of Arizona College of Medicine. BUMC-T has the only Level 1 trauma center in Southern Arizona and is accredited by the Joint Commission as a Primary Stroke Center.
 

Banner University Medical Center - South Campus (BUMC-SC)
 
BUMC-SC is located in the south side of Tucson. In 2004, this former county-managed facility was taken over by The University of Arizona faculty group. The hospital has been reinvigorated by this change and now houses the majority of the Neurology department outpatient clinics and clinical neurophysiology facilities. Additionally, the inpatient facility provides inpatient Psychiatric services for the County as well as being a primary point of healthcare serving the residents of the south and southwest sides of the Tucson Metropolitan Area.
 

Southern Arizona Veteran’s Administration Health Care System (SAVAHCS)
 
The Southern Arizona VA Health Care System (SAVAHCS) located in Tucson AZ serves over 170,000 Veterans is a charming reminder of the old Southwest. This historic medical center is a highly affiliated tertiary care 285-bed hospital providing primary care and sub-specialty health care in numerous medical areas for eligible Veterans.
